Meet Emmanuel and Amélie Taborda, the founders of Mr Sandwich, and Matthew Ladkin, the chef bringing serious restaurant know-how to our sandwiches.
Every sandwich has a story, and ours starts with a couple of people who really care about food.
Emmanuel and Amélie are the creative minds behind Mr Sandwich. With years in hospitality and a shared passion for food done right, they set out in 2018 to rethink what a simple sandwich could be: generous, high quality and made with care, every single day.
It started with one shop on Hay Street. Today Mr Sandwich is part of a Perth hospitality group that also includes the award-winning restaurant Madeleine on Beaufort. Fine dining and a CBD lunch bar might sound like different worlds, but the standards are exactly the same.

Matthew is the chef on our team. He's run some of Perth's best-known kitchens, including C Restaurant, Friends Restaurant, Uma and Young George, among many others. Now he brings that knowledge of Perth's high food standards to our sandwich adventure, helping shape recipes that are full of flavour, fresh and made to be enjoyed every day.
